This morning I received an email that said, “Congratulations! You are one step closer to driving for Uber!” For a minute, I thought I’d just been fired.

For a minute, I was wondering whether or not anyone still made those old fashioned, rotary cell phones.

Serial killers probably make excellent neighbors. Every time they arrest a serial killer, they interview the neighbors. First and most importantly, the neighbors are alive. If a serial killer preyed on their neighbors, they would be caught too fast so, living next to a serial killer seems to be a pretty safe place to be. Second, they always say that the killer was quiet and kept to themselves; they never caused any trouble. What more could you want in a neighbor?

I was eating a crumb doughnut. After I took the last bite, I dropped the little paper plate and spilled the crumbs all over my lap and chair. At first I was upset, but then I realized that I chose that type of donut, and by eating the donut, I agreed to accept both the rewards and the risks. I calmly cleaned up the crumbs and felt quite “Zen” about myself.
